We are privileged to be living during this timeframe of "The Evolutionary Expressionism of Life Energy" which enables us to acknowledge a visionary with compassion for all creation. Every Human Being is an integral participant in the Universe. We are the examples upon life's sojourn. When the maturation of the living essence is formulated into the dynamics of a spirit guide, jubilation vibrates throughout creation announcing such as His Holiness, The Dalai Lama. We celebrate the sheer essence, not the matter of which creation has blessed us to learn, share and apply the principles of supreme being.
It is true that the power of creation is within everything it creates. When we come to accept this fact life is full, rich and happy in the midst of its turbulent storms. We are One, not Two! We emulate and eliminate according to the charge we undertake in the processes of living through the duality of our human existence. The Guiding lights atop the Light Houses bringing the wondering spirits through the storms safely to shore are selfless, interconnected, interrelated within the independence of this Universe. This prominent figure of historic portion exemplifies the potential capacity of the Human Spirit to rise to higher levels of conscious awareness, as so many have shown throughout the ages. When the wholeness of Human Being converges into the new, we live in dignity, truth, honesty, character and integrity of the utmost highest.

This artist came to our attention when a print of her ArtWorks was seen during a clearance sale by a family moving to some other part of this country. The intricate details and precision of her imagery captivated our mind's eye as an Artist with a clear understanding of her medium and focus without compromise to a specific visual style, 'SURREALISM'. Like all Creative Human Beings fulfilling their mission, Ms. Tamir (ORA) isn't an exception but a rarity.
She doesn't seem to falter in her determination to provide an aesthetic vision of her perceptions of life. This is commendable. Obviously, Ora was naturally to be a painter from childhood while other children did more common activities. She was concentrating on painting. This is not unusual for a spirit to express its purpose and intent when so clearly an intricate part of their soul is gifted like any artist becoming great at their work through their dedication and passion.
Ora uses soft sable brushes and oils expressing emotions of the omniscience of Being Human. The artistic eye for the surrealism masterfully produced by Ora appears to emerge from an intuitive depth with daunting and sensual beauty. Ora is an established Artist in her native Israel as well. She migrated to California in the '80's, a mother of three children and wife, juggling many responsibilities we are sure and yet her vision speaks for itself. We celebrate her gifts, talents and skills as our 'Guest Artist' via the world of virtual reality. We admire her creative persistence and tenacity to prevail. BRAVA! ORA!

When a man seeks the way to Enlightenment, it is like an ox carrying a heavy load through a field of mud. If the ox tries to do its best without paying attention to other things, it can overcome the mud and take a rest. Just so, if the mind is controlled and kept on the right path, there will be no mud of greed to hinder it and all its suffering wild disappear."

Life's experiences are the greatest of all teachers in this Universe. We are Alive! We are the students of the mysteries revealed as we sojourn into the 'Unknown University Library' of thought, reason, rational and logic. We solve the problems of the world when we solve the problems within ourselves. This isn't a revelation since we are doing it all the time. We are a part of life's energy. Yes, we must come to understand why we persist in cultivating oppositions, conflicts, feelings that feed pain and suffering for the masses to endure through their individual as well as collective consciousness by taking everyday actions against the 'Independence of Humanity.' What is the significance of this perpetual insanity? It seems everybody is rushing to beat the traffic that their rushing helps to actually create! Slow down, take a moment, relax, breathe, let go! Oh yeah, right, sure, "If only I would have known then, what I know now, then I would have?" The truth, "If one knew today what one didn't know then, then one wouldn't be where one is now!
We declare the Constitution of the Masterful Artist/Creative Beings of the Human World: 'We, the Independents of Mankind, in order to perform the perfect Union, establish justice, insure tranquility, provide loving-kindness, peace and harmony, promote wellness, and secure the blessings of liberty for all Human Beings and posterity, do ordain compassion and establish this Constitution as preamble for infinite days of Independence through the various mediums of Artists' works inspiring freedom for all the inhabitants of the earth.'
True enough 'LIFE' is a fickle force to deal with, up one moment, down the next with everything in between. As one moves beyond the selfish survival modes of the fittest with its twists and turns, we are challenged to rise to greater heights. This creative phenomenon is known in the cycles of Human existence as the ebb and flow. Which like the ebb of a tide rushing in to kiss the shore, than rolls back out to sea ever more is encompassed by the ocean! Although there appears to be a strange inconsistency in Human nature we cannot deny the lessons being taught, learned and applied within this Universe's ecosystem of divine principles. Our responsibility is to master the courses and use this expanding capacity of knowledge and wisdom to affirm life in all of its Being.
The Great Artist Within is now creating the moments that inspire every Human Being as a messenger from their birth to express the extraordinary gifts of wholeness through abundant and diverse creativity. We are the 'ONE' to be revealed unto ourselves as the unification of Independent mind, body and soul. We are the spiritual metaphors of identification through imagined constructions within time and space affirming that every thought held in formulation is produced and obliterated in the moment of its inception while the undercurrent of truth prevails.
"When man removes himself from the vice-laden treadmill, he then becomes a qualified servant of the Radiant Lord. To profess a thing differs from living it. Permeated by Divine Light, the thinker becomes the Knower and the pray-er becomes the Do-er. All things suffused by Light leave a purifying effect on the whole." -Dr. Lori M. Poe
Ms. Poe's quotation rings true, 'LIFE' is quantitated quality of energy mesmerizing the senses with constant data, knowledge and information through cycles of accumulation, growth and development. The mental dilemmas are induced fantasies. The un-containable, uncontrollable and unattainable quest for division amongst the particles of collective consciousness is evident. However, the universe is creating everything in it now for the first time all the time. There isn't any measure permanent status to assure past, present or future separations that prevents life itself from doing what it does. To go beyond the borders of fear, limitations and restrictions; and to epitomize the gnome of utopia, we must give up the model defects of fighting, selfishness, cynicism, skepticism and all of the excuses that sabotages Independence. This doesn't mean the Artists becomes dull, dismal and drab. This simply means the Artists transform the environment, become enlivened, invigorated and rejuvernated with insight, wisdom and enthusiasm for living life, not merely accepting imposed mundane traits of Human existence. The stressed forms of matter are dead because they spent the whole of life paying off the things that killed them. We must walk the walk of the Elephant...strong, persistent, courageous, independent and determined to complete the designated tasks of living life abundantly without a fight for peace.
'The Elephant Walk' is a trodden path carved out by the footsteps of Elephants headed to a water hold or their ancestral burial grounds. Nothing impedes, intervenes or interferes with the Elephant walking the path. This likened to the Human process of creative Beings, we to trod the carved out paths provided by our ancestors, yet we have become confused. Searching and seeking but never finding what is right before our eyes. The infinite ways to walk upright, forthright and straight ahead along the paths of universal consciousness which lead to further in-depth discovery, exploration and investigation into absolute truth, honesty and integrity of Being Human. The Artists knows their place in the world of mankind:

We are a wonderful enhancement of creation. We know we are Independently dependent. We were not born hostile, angry or bitter spirits by nature, therefore we can only love, let go, and let goodness flow through everything we do in the service of the utmost highest within ourselves. Think about it! Think clearly! Then think some more! Make no assumptions! No duality imposed! and BE FREE...
Now lets cut to the chase, we are aware that there isn't any permanent time, ancient, modern or otherwise during the continuum process of creation's expansion. The black space hasn't given up its secrets and yet infuses the space with the pervading light. We are a model species of thought in "The Evolutionary Expressionism of Life Energy." The psychological and chronological tools used to maneuver, measure and create cycled effects out of causes as causes originate in the moment of inception are sublime. We are motivated by spontaneous impulses that stimulate our mechanism to function accordingly. This is not news but a profound state of Being Human. The creative genius is born, lives, learns, forgets it all and then dies as the natural course of the forms in life.
The archeological approaches taken towards discovering that which is prevalent from archival concepts out of necessity is due to the abandonment of the authentic self's search to find it's truth. We have permitted ourselves to look and become blinded by what we see, hear, feel, smell and touch. The Human senses have blocked the channels to the single and most important experiences of freedom which is our spiritual Independence capsulated into timeframes labeled ancient, modern and futuristic.
"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, all things were made by Him; and without Him was nothing made...The wind bloweth where it listeth and thou hearest the sound thereof; but canst not tell whence it cometh and whither it goeth; so is everyone that is born of the Spirit."-St. John.
Since the Dawn of Time, those awakened to Sound and Light attested to Its Wondrous Reality. God is Energy. Energy is God. The Aspects of the Energy are Sound and Light, therefore the two are One and referred to as One. Sound is the Power and Emanation God, the Life giver and Redeemer. Being the Principle Source of all life, It stands alone. In the Bible the Sound is the Word. The Greeks call it Logos. The Hindus: Shad. To the Sikhs it is the Bani, Nam, or Name of God. And so , the Radiant Sound or Lord is called by different names throughout the world. Since Nam is nameless, every religion christened it to their own understanding that more often takes on a personal note.
In Arabic, God is known as Hu, which means the Nameless. Therefore Hu is the Sound, and original Name of God. Though the Holy Sound or Word is everywhere, its Current cannot be contacted outside of us, since it is already within us as Life. Hu is the Spirit of every sound, the Life and Power of every living thing. Any name other than Hu are limited expressions. In the Om or Aum-expression, our lips are closed; therefore the Om becomes the limiting factor and will carry you no further than the Mental World to which it belongs.
Hu is the unlimited flow of the Sound. It carries the soul as far and deep into Spiritual Kingdoms as it may determine, and as its progress warrants. Hu means God. Man means mind. Therefore only through mind can the hu-man understand God and only through and beyond the senses of soul can God become your true reality. Thusly, God can only be realized while you, the Soul dwell in form.
This alone sets man apart from lower creatures, but he is equal to them, in that he shares their grains and unbridled passions, and lower than they as he kills them and eats their meat. Hu is the Power Current, the nurturing Life-stream that flows down from the Heart of God through all creation. Hu is heard in every voice and sound. Unfolding in Its Brilliant Light, you become a God-conscious being, meaning: a being fully conscious on every level of Divine Life. Light is the Enlightener, Sound is the Glorious Body of God which you were born. But though Sound and Light are within everyone, not all desire to realize It consciously." - Dr. Lori M. We Artists, spiritual Beings as Humans are simultaneously, synchronistically passing through a mirage of phenomenal existence, a dream state of conscious hallucination to experience aspects the time components we categorize as ancient, modern and future. This is imagination at work. It is invisibly visible. The virtual reality of creative forces amassing fields of energy for the expression of self in shapes and forms. The events, happenings, occurrences which seem to be of lineage when in actuality they are spiraling out of the circle into cycles of matter. We are not ignorant of this truth.
The activities we have inserted into the matrix of this finite reality indicate our fear of nonexistence while clinging to the presumed existence. The details gathered to prove and/or disapprove the feasibility of something Being all inclusive creates diversionary tactics of Human existence. Every Human Being who has ever lived is the perfect example of what life is all about in its brilliant light of translucent darkness. To reiterate, there isn't any other time but now; and since time is now; and now doesn't exist in truth, this concept we called ancient is a memory mechanism which inspires reality. It is a reflective lens of multidimensional prisms of infinity.
It is very clear that we are the life energy in motion, in evolution with infinite ideas, theories, hypothesis regarding assumptive beginnings, middles and endings. Any validity required as retrospective permanency is illusive. It is fleeting! The human content and context is exemplified in the coin phrase, "Like grains of sand in the hour glass these are the day of our lives", suggesting or hinting that psychological analysis can cease and desist concerning the birth and death cycles of our imagination. Time becomes a stop watch, a mechanistic conclusion and/or transient point from moment to moment as measurements in the Big Bang theory of this universe. The ending of one star system spinning off into another super nova in progression which ever indicates from observation that it is the happening through introversion that inspires this extroversion.
We are looking into the microscope of consciousness which affirms that there isn't any other time but now to BE LIVING. The (hi-story) that doesn't repeat itself because it hasn't any other time than now; to be now; this is not a riddle but a happening. It is actually the truth cycles of no return. It is noted that from whence we came we shall return, however deceptive this concept maybe, we cannot go backwards until we have completed going forward as life energy demands in its unfoldment.
While capsulizing the past, present and future tenses as mental constructs, therefore creating illusory rhythms and vibrations, producing the record book of infinite thoughts and activities, the framework of Human existence is progressing in the current moment. The electrical currents charge the brain waves of the Human species recalling forms, shapes and dimensions expressed through the physical, material and spiritual Being of no return.
It is amazing to be alive and one should not take for granted this blessing supreme. We are very fortunate to witness the Independent power of creation at work, playing, unfolding every experience required to better understand the temporal realities of this world. It is what it is! It is natural to be free spirited regardless of the presumed imprisonment. Letting Go, letting God is the absolute relief from attempting to control or confine this virtual state of existence.
What is valuable? What is essential? What is eternal about the process of life? The nothing (no thing) of it all! The sublime essence, pure energy, ethereal force of light penetrating through and encompassing all that is. We are Divine. We are Artists. We have integrated the space, eclipsing time through the void from whence we come and go. Sometimes we are afraid to open up and stir up the elixir because we are so accustomed to a comforting facade. Of course, all problems melts away like wax of a candle, the intensity of the applied heat is too much for it to bare. The eternal flame consumes and transforms all surrounding attachments by it's stem on fire, like life does with all of it's creatures.
There isn't anything we cannot do even when it appears we are doing everything. We are doing it now. We are doing nothing. This is it! When we change, it changes automatically to continue the process of infinite exposure to our Creative Being that is required by nature. Perfection is what imperfection is all about and that is the affirmation of perfection in all that we do, be and have according to Divine order. We are the unborn. The immaculate conception of the supernovas in cosmic ectoplasmic ribbons across the Universe.
Yes, to articulate the infinite experiences of life is virtually impossible, however the single innate truth of consciousness sets 'ONE' Free and Independent. We can rejoice, be thankful and grateful that every (thing) happening is affirming the independence of all things manifested as temporal, transitory, ethereal, momentary and impermenant. The causes and effects in every way that we experience life itself is what it is!

We are responsible for seeing that what we sow, we reap. That's all. If we put our finger in the fire, we will get burn. The fire is not responsible for that. The function of fire is to burn. We can use the fire for a good purpose or for a bad purpose. It's up to us. So let us not blame one another for everything. Life is a neutral energy, like electricity. Plug in a lamp, we get light. Plug in a finger, we get a shock. We cannot label electricity as good or bad. We can use it for any purpose. Since as far as we can remember within the historic annals of civilization mankind has corrupted Humanity as a whole with greed, deceit and malice. Everywhere we turn it seems corruption flourishes creating the misery, pain and suffering of Human Beings upon this planet earth. Many Fellow Human Beings have learned and apply masterful techniques, methods and approaches for camouflaging their true intentions and purposes to the naked eye of naivetÈ and innocence in an attempt to lead the masses to hell's damnation. These diversionary processes in use by particular individuals of mankind in pursuit of monetary gains, authority and power that confuses, conflicts and complicates the consciousness of the Human species. Yes, there is a deep sadness that is felt for these individuals who have gone awry and like an uncontrollable wild fire burning with ill repute deliberately overrunning, tricking, robbing and stealing the dreams of another Fellow Human Being. Their are so many wonderful, incredible, talented and gifted Artists' (Human Beings) working everyday of their lives to do the best they can to elevate the human existence from the abyss of chaos and confusion. To transcend that which damages, destroys and brings lingering harm in "The Evolutionary Expressionism of Life Energy', through the sly, slick , smooth tactics and motives of our con artists, shysters and thieves.
The old adage, "Crime Does Not Pay" isn't true because everyday society proves "Crime Does Pay" a very high price resulting in the demise and destruction of Human life, character and dignity. Crime is one of the basic cornerstones that infuses the economy for the money making ventures of individuals about the daily business of selfishly plotting, planning and scheming to entrap the masses of the world. Hidden agendas, calculated risk and ulterior motives cloaked in nice nasty gestures coercing their prey into the net for the kill. Individuals who never say what they mean and mean what they say is a paradox, creating a dilemma of spiritual conflict between the presumed have's and the have nots of our civilization. If crime does not pay then why do we have a legal field thriving off and specializing in Criminology? CRIME AND PUNISHMENT IS A BIG BUSINESS. What are the principle attributes of greed and malice, what are the qualifications that are essential for an individual of mankind to grow its parasites to entice the inhabitants of civilization therein. Pray tell the people have corrupted themselves out to fear! Think about it!

Human Beings tend to move in the direction of their thoughts. If they harbor greedy thoughts, they become more greedy; if they think angry thoughts, they become more angry; if they hold foolish thoughts, their feet move in that direction.
We don't teach the truth, it can't be taught, truth is an innate quality of character, a foundation stone of which we may choose to build a good strong wholesome reality upon it or not. We have chosen, however to teach how to pretend, lie, cheat, live in shame and guilt causing legitimate scams in the name of success. The playing of innocence in a world which encourages perpetual guilt ridden activities leads an individual to feeling so guilty that the pretense of innocence intensities which results into anger, frustration and rage. We must not submit to such foul play any longer, becoming victims to this very premise which these individuals adhere to in order to justify their devious actions and/or means to an end. ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! CHANGE STARTS WITHIN OURSELVES...Corruption is a condition produced, cultivated and guise as an inherited quality of mankind passed down to generation after generation functioning in a state of extreme greed and aggression to take, take, take at any cost without concern and/or consideration for the life of another Human Being. The wheels are turning. They are not being reinvented. Until we are no longer here on this planet, going through these cycles, we are here. We have to deal with this unnecessary flaw in our Human existence.
It is the hypocrisy of civilization encouraging corruption out of lackful thinking and systems of beliefs. Enough isn't enough! We want more, more and more...feed 'ME,' feed 'ME,' feed 'ME', we are so greedy! Here is an example recently experienced at CCPI regarding "AN INTERNET SCAM", we share this information, insight and enlightenment for conscious awareness in dealing with such corruption everywhere...

Artist Portfolio Security Alert: June 10, 2003
It has come to my attention that some of our artists have been approached by questionable and fraudulent buyers. These fraudulent buyers express interest in your work and offer to purchase at least one of your works. Others are posing as art dealers or claim to represent wealthy clients. Many of them seem to be in a hurry and want to make a quick deal today.
The fraudulent buyer/criminal usually offers to send you a check or transfer the money into your bank account. Do not give your bank account information or any other personal information to anyone questionable. Criminals can use this information for illegal purposes. If the criminal offers to buy your work of art with a check, be aware that these checks are usually fake and drawn on stolen or even invalid bank accounts. If you decide to accept a personal or company check as payment, make sure that the money actually deposits into your account before you ship any artwork. These criminals usually use email accounts such as yahoo, hotmail, mail.com, etc. Be very cautious when someone is offering you money for your artwork and the email originates from a free email account!
Be very cautious when approached by someone posing as a buyer and the requested shipping destination for your work is Nigeria, Africa. This is not to say that African shipping destinations are questionable - however, criminals are currently using a wide variety of African countries as their destination for merchandise. Once shipped your work will most likely never be seen again.
Be very cautious when someone approaches you and asks you for personal information, financial information or other dubious requests. You should never give out any of that kind of information to anyone you don't know!

I strongly urge you to be very careful when selling your artwork via the Internet!

IN-DEPTH INTERNET SCAM ALERT: JUNE 20, 2003
I am sending you another email to give you details about the Nigerian scam that is taking place on the Internet and several attempts have taken place at absolutearts.com.
DETAILED EXPLANATION OF SCAM:
The criminal will contact you as a client or pose as a representative of a client. The criminal will offer to buy a work of your art usually at full price without much discussing the work or really showing much interest in the work. After offering to buy the work, the criminal will tell you that he or she will send you a check drawn on an American Bank. Once you have received and deposited the check into your bank account, the criminal will tell you that the client is in a hurry and that he or another representative will pick up the work right away.
You will notice that the check you received is for a much larger amount than the artwork that you are selling. The criminal will claim that it is his or her commission for making the sale. The criminal will then ask you to wire or bank transfer the "commission" to them to an account, usually in a West African nation like Nigeria. Everything still seems normal because by now YOUR bank has actually deposited the money into your account.
HERE IS THE CATCH:
The check that the criminal sent looks real and legitimate. However, the check is false and invalid. YOUR bank at first sight also thinks it is legitimate and processes it. Due to your good standing YOUR bank has under good faith credited your account. In other words YOUR bank is floating the amount until they hear back from the issuing bank that the check is bad. The issuing bank will eventually tell YOUR bank that the check is a fraud and YOUR bank will reverse the deposit.
By that time you will have wired the money to the overseas account and no one ever came to pick up the work. You have just lost the "commission" the criminal had asked you to wire or bank transfer to their overseas account. You will never see the money again. Unfortunately, you are liable for the funds even though YOUR bank has floated the deposit for that time period.
SOLUTION:
The only solution is not to deal with any client that seems fraudulent. Almost every time the email from the client originates from an "anonymous" email account. You need to immediately forward the information to the company that is offering the email account. I would also suggest to contact the Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC) at: http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp .

The world is the world at any point the world is... and it is a joy to explore and share the creative journey of any Human Being. We say we all want the same things in the world...well here we are!
In an interview (Q&A) with the Multimedia Artist: R. Lane Clark, we welcomed the opportunity to sojourn through the studio of his mind's eye, its intent and purpose where impressions, perspectives, perceptions and visions of the creative process of Art and the World converge in inter relational expressions unequivocally. Without further adieu, Mr. Clark...
Q: Where are you taking us today in your ArtWorks with the many advancements provided to the Artist through technology?
RLC: The Idea of art "taking us" on some kind of journey resonates with me very much. Technology such as the internet that enables me to share a glimpse into my work is still no substitute for the actual encounter with physical, tactile pieces or with real human beings. Art making, for me, is a spiritual
practice that takes material form so that it can trigger experiences by others. The technology of art and the skill with which it is employed, whether it is oxides on an ancient cave wall or colors on an LCD screen, is only part of the "journey" that the viewer takes. Just as important is the viewer's willingness
to go along on the adventure.
Q: How do you compose your concepts, ideas, theories, etc., to inspire the spontaneity to manifest a creative piece of work?
RLC: In creating any art work, it is crucial to me to remain open to the possibility of revelation and change throughout the process. Each piece is a kind of "vision quest" or "channeling" of spirits. I often rely on music, natural processes, and chance elements to help me to relinquish control and then I
gently accentuate the imagery that emerges from unconscious sources.
Q: What specific statements or consistent themes reoccur in your ArtWorks that you are creating with various styles and approaches in multimedia?
RLC: Primordial themes that have to do with the human condition and with the life of Gaia (the Earth as a living entity) recur throughout my work. Our interconnectedness across the web of life, the sacred dances of incarnation, metamorphosis, learning, loving, death, and transformation, are all themes that
underpin much of what I make. Whether abstract, functional, or documentary, art is for the spirit.
Q: Beyond the initial interest in Art, what specifically inspired you to pursue multimedia?
RLC: I work in multiple media, but with the exception of my documentary video work, not in "multimedia" as the term is often used to refer to computer technologies. I remain very close to my initial interest in art-making which is grounded in tactile, material, and human interactions. I have always been excited
by the different potentials of various materials such as clay, pigments on canvas, stone, plants, film, drums....to stimulate my creative energies in different ways. While I continue to explore the properties of these various media, the manipulation of materials to manifest beauty and mystery or to tell stories
is central to all of my work.
Q: To what extent does the culture in which you live impact and encourage you to express the depth of your insights through colors and forms of such brilliance, buoyancy, vigor and dynamics shown in your existing ArtWorks?
RLC: The present "Post-modern" cultural moment is characterized by an acute awareness of the inter-relatedness of all peoples and all living systems on the planet, crossing cultures and times. To the present generation, knowledge about life in other cultures and at other times in history is more accessible than ever. With little effort, we can stand before a Dutch Renaissance painting in a museum, then turn the corner and look at twentieth century Australian Aboriginal bark painting. In my life as a working artist, I have lived on three continents. My work evokes these experiences as I speak of our common human experiences in video, photography and paintings. Unconsciously, my work incorporates all of the colors, textures, and symbols that have become part of my world.
Q: An Artist is a visionary, reaching beyond the boundaries of creative expressions in an infinitely changing world. How has your vision changed and/or assisted in the evolution in conscious awakening for humanity?
RLC: My creative expressions aim to hold up a mirror for the soul. For the willing viewer, they take one on a vision quest speaking of hopes, fears, ironies, vulnerabilitiesä In my documentary work, based in Africa, I speak more overtly about values and thoughts and wishes that people all share, regardless of their ethnicity or economic situation.
Q: As Artist, you become a keynote speaker through your ArtWorks, a voice for all generation's perspectives about the human conditions (pro/con). How would you handle on a very large scale the task of changing the direction of the Human Being 180 degrees, if indeed this where to happen to you at this point of your career?
RLC: I don't delude myself with the thought that my art should take on the task of changing the direction of humanity. But as speakers for our time, I hope that artists can be part of the solution, rather than the problem. My vision for making art is to bring beauty, compassion, reverence, and respect into a world that is in dire need of all of these qualities.
Q: What is your process, preparation for producing within the various mediums of your creative expressions? How do you establish the basic motifs in concentration that emerges from within the blank space?
RLC: I don't dwell for long before a blank space. Even when I try to, I begin to "see" images on the white. If I keep my mind free from preconceptions, I can take on the task of "channeling" the images into the painting.
Q: Who are primary Master Artist that you consider to have influenced your styles, approaches, intelligence and acute senses regarding the intricacies of artistic creativity and in what ways?
RLC: I have learned to use chance from the dadaists, to free the materials and my emotions from the abstract expressionists, and to commune with the spirits from ancient Native American shamans. All of these influences combine with my own sensibilities to help me understand my own intuitive approach to looking at and making images.
Q: What is your most difficult challenge as an Artist/Human Being?
RLC: Keeping positive and hopeful is my most difficult challenge. The destructive policies of the current regime in this country have been an affront to all people who want to see peace and justice in the world. I won't even go into them now. But my challenge is in remaining hopeful, making art that focuses on the positive, participating in and acknowledging the actions of those who continue to work for a better world.
Q: What distinguishes your ArtWorks from other Artists currently living or dead?
RLC: I think the time I am living in distinguishes my work from many others who came before, simply because of the confluence of times and cultures that are now part of my awareness. I will leave any pronouncements about the particular qualities and personality of my own work up to art critics and historians to comment.
Q: What simple statement you can make to an aspiring young artist?
To any aspiring artist, I would emphasize that the journey is more important than the destination. Art making has to be a discovery, an adventure, an investigation, in order to be worthwhile. Mastering any technique takes time and discipline, but it also will be fun and rewarding if you focus on the process
and not only the product. And the amazing thing about all of this is that your state of mind and commitment is always visible in the end product!
